What differentiates Amazee from other Web 2.0 applications?

Social Networking Platforms like Facebook or Myspace:
Compared to Social Networking Platforms like Facebook or MySpace Amazee is not primarily about your and other people’s profile, but the profile of your and other people’s projects.

Collaboration or “getting things done” platforms:
Compared to classic collaboration platforms like Basecamp, Amazee’s focus is on public “Social Collaboration” and not on private “Corporate Collaboration". On Amazee you can collaborate, but with a focus on projects you want to publicize.

Why does Amazee claim to be “seriously fun”?

It’s serious because pursuing goals in projects has a serious aspect when it comes to structuring the required efforts and getting things done, even if the goal is fun. It’s fun because goal oriented teamwork gives you kicks and the achievements are rewarding, even if the goal is serious.

What Technology does Amazee use?

Amazee is built on open-source software. We use Linux, MySQL, Apache and PHP to run our servers and Drupal as an excellent framework for our platform.
