My theory is that if you look confident you can pull off anything - even if you have no clue what you're doing.

Yesterday the Swiss and the Southern German Web scene gathered at Cassiber’s Technopark office to have some beers and discuss two core topics: “How to launch in the US” and “How to make Zurich Europe’s Tech and Web cluster number one”!

Marc Bernegger from Amiando gave an impressive review on how Amiando made it into the exclusive Facebook Connect partnership as first European Company and Ted Shelton, Partner at The Conversation Group, gave an energizing speech on Zurich’s potential to become Europe‘s next Tech and Web cluster.

The plan is set for the upcoming Web Monday Zurich on 4 August! The topic is "launching in the US". We're happy to announce two very interesting speakers:

    1) Ted Shelton from The Conversation Group in San Francisco has spent the past 20 years working in the high tech industry. Most recently Ted developed a new participatory media platform called The Personal Bee, which was acquired by Technorati in early 2007. Ted has been active in re-envisioning Technorati's product roadmap and business strategy and as a part of this effort created The Conversation Group as a key Technorati partner. http://www.theconversationgroup.com/

    2) Marc P. Bernegger, co-founder and Head of Sales of amiando just returned from his Silicon Valley trip, where amiando 4.0 was launched last week. Marc will introduce amiando 4.0 and share his experience on amiando's US launch with us. http://www.amiando.com/

I'm very much looking forward to seeing you all again. Please register in the wiki (http://www.amazee.com/node/257/writeboard/view/500) if you haven't already.
The Web Monday will again be in Technopark Zurich. This time in Cassiber's Office (2nd floor, Office Zeppelin 2008). Drinks start from 6.30 p.m. and the presentations shortly after 7 p.m.
Thanks to the Cassiber crew for hosting the upcoming Web Monday!

Help make Web Monday Zurich a remarkable event and spread the word... or the link ;)

    Cheers, Dania

The Web Monday in Zurich will be a very informal gathering of people interested in Web 2.0 topics. Everybody can join the discussion and participate.
For the first Web Monday in Zurich, I'm very pleased that we have two interesting speakers: Dominik Grolimund, CEO of Wuala. will present his peer-to-peer file sharing platform and Michael Naef, CEO of Doodle, will tell us about Doodle's success story and the next steps.
Let's meet from 6.30 p.m. on in the Amazee office at Technopark Zurich (Newton 2012). We might still get a different room and I'll keep you posted in case there are any room changes. We'll have some drinks and food and can start the presentations shortly after 7 p.m. Afterwards we will still have the opportunity for more drinks and nice chats!
If you know more people interested in such an event, please spread the word! You can recommend the project directly from this site.

PLEASE register in the Wiki whether you are coming or not. You have to select the Wiki "Registration for 26 May" and add your name. It would be helpful to know the approximate amount of people attending.

Looking forward to 26 May! Cheers, Dania

    What is Web Monday?
Web Monday is an informal, non-commercial, and completely community-driven event that aims to connect the people who are shaping the future of the internet. Inspired by the culture of Silicon Valley, it started out in Cologne, Germany in late 2005 in an effort to help spread those sunny California vibes. Since its inception, Web Monday has spread fast: meetings are now being held on a regular basis in 30+ cities all across Germany, in Austria, Sweden, Silicon Valley as well as on Second Life. Nurturing the local web 2.0 and internet startup scenes, Web Monday’s 100+ meetings have attracted 1,000+ repeat participants so far, and good things have come out of it. Anyone involved in web 2.0 or neighboring fields who is interested in learning and sharing with others is most welcome to join. Whether you are a thinker, builder, designer, founder or funder – Web Monday is your chance to present your product, your service, your startup, or your next big idea to a growing audience of web aficionados.
